It is the first expansion of Hero Quest, printed in Great Britain in October 1989. It was sold together the other expansion, "Return of the Witch Lord", in an only sealed package. For a corrected chronological and history order, “Kellar's Keep” must be played just after the base quest book of Hero Quest and before of “Return of the Witch Lord".
